FAQ's
We work with most industries such as Aerospace, Medical, Electronic, Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, to name a few. However we are not setup for automotive repair.
We price jobs based on, work to be reformed, difficulty, setups, fixturing, machining time, materials and outside services. We perform our do dilligence to provide our customers with a fair price not just a random guess from a quick glance.
Wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) works by using a thin, electrically charged wire as an electrode to cut through metal. The wire, which is continuously fed from a spool, creates sparks between itself and the workpiece, eroding the material along the desired path. This process occurs in a dielectric fluid, which helps to cool the workpiece and flush away the eroded particles. Wire EDM is highly precise and is often used to create intricate shapes and fine details in hard materials.
We provide both Wire EDM and Small Hole EDM services.
The material must be electrically conductive, as the process relies on electrical discharges to erode the material.
We can use 0.004"(0.10mm), 0.006"(0.15mm), 0.008"(0.20mm), 0.010"(0.25mm), 0.012"(0.30mm). We typically use 0.010"(0.25mm) Brass EDM wire.
